Radio interviews - Are usually with an artist promoting a new album or single in an attempt to widen their audience. These interviews can be live or pre-recorded. Depending on the station there can also be serious tone interviews. Interviewers still must use body language to show their interest in what the interviewee is saying.

Television news - there are several different forms of interviews on television depending on the channel you ware watching, there are light hearted chat show interviews like 'The Chatty Man Show' and 'The Ellen' show these can be filled with of comedy and light hearted questions. On the other hand you also have news programs containing more serious and factual interviews. 

Online - these interviews can be shown on blogs and websites in either written or video form, and can be either serious or light hearted. A large amount of interviews online are celebrity and promotional Interviews. Some magazines post there full interviews on their websites for their readers to go to.full Radio interviews are also posted on the internet as there is only so much time on air. YouTube has also become a platform for people to post interviews with a large range of different types of interviews available.

Depending on the platform interviews can have different themes for example radio and online interviews can be both serious or light hearted depending on the subject and who is being interviewed although, television interviews can be much more open to being informal and laid back as they are focused on entertaining their audience an example of this is is 'The Ellen Show' she uses humour and gifts to lighten the mood of the interview and make the interviewee feel at home, this keeps the tone of the interview light for instance when Selena Gomez visited her show she scared her with an actor sneaking up on her, this brings a fun lighthearted mood to the interview and makes it entertaining for the viewer.
